…Deputy Governor lauds his commitment to effective representation
Esan land, Sunday, witnessed an influx of dignitaries across Edo State and beyond as the state Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, joined Senator Clifford Ordia, in thanksgiving service to appreciate God for his 8 years legislative tour at the National Assembly, Abuja.
Senator Ordia is the immediate past senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly. The thanksgiving mass held at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Usugbenu, lrrua in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State. The celebrant and his guests later moved to the reception ground for entertainment.
In a goodwill message on behalf of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obsseki, Shaibu described Senator Ordia as “a man of indomitable spirit and a dependable ally”. He noted that Senator Ordia’s “honesty, integrity and strong will distinguishes him as a rare breed amongst Senators who had represented their constituencies and Nigeria in general”.
The Deputy Governor stated that Senator Ordia was a performer with impressive political antecedents.
He urged the people to always pray for elected officials in government to use the public resources entrusted in their care for the public good.
Amidst resounding cheers from the excited crowd, Senator Clifford Ordia appreciated Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu for their exemplary leadership qualities and the divine benevolence upon them. According to him, they have effectively combined these for the good of the people and the development of Edo State in general.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Deputy Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Maria Edeko Esq, immediate past Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun and PDP leaders across the five local government areas in the Esan land.
