Four elite cricket clubs are set to battle it out for glory in the South-South Female Cricket League Super 4 tournament, as the best of Nigerian cricket talent is set to be displayed in Benin City, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
This year’s contenders include two teams from Edo-Idia Royals Cricket Club and Adolor Amazons Cricket Club, alongside Pathfinders Cricket Club from Port Harcourt and Smashers Cricket Club from Akwa Ibom, all seeking victory from Friday, 9th February to Sunday 11th of February, 2024.
Last year’s runners-up, Delta Force, who gave a commendable performance by reaching the finals only to be narrowly defeated by Smashers Cricket Club, unfortunately, did not make it past the group stage this time around.
The opening game of the semifinal will see Idia Royals CC and Pathfinders CC, setting the tone for what is expected to be a series of intense matches. The competition will then see Adolor Amazon CC go head-to-head with Smashers CC.
Also, the tournament will feature several players from the senior national women’s team and the national Under-19 team, bringing a wealth of experience and skill to the fore.
